Hey !
I tought I should introduce myself: I'm Paul, a 14 (and a half  :D ) a film "photographer" from France. I started about 6 months ago, with a Fuji Instax Mini,a Konica Pop and a Zorki 4 and I was offered a Nikon F2 with a lot of lenses and a M4 with Summicron 50mm f/2 (and other smaller camera like à Contaflex). I use a SX-70 Autofocus Time-Zero, and a BigShot for Instant love  8)
I know this website Thanks to Moominsean, and Mijonju.

See ya

Hi Paul

Welcome to Filmwasters!  :)

That's quite a collection of cameras you've got already! Why not post a few photos so others can see some of your work. You could do that here or there's a weekly post, usually it starts on a Thursday where members show what they've been up to for the past week or so. If you have any questions just ask we're a friendly bunch.

Welcome Paul. My name is Paul, also.

My favourite out of your list of cameras is the Nikon F2. A good specimen will last you a very long time as they were about the best built model Nikon made, in my opinion.

Post some of your work. The only rule is that the photo has to be taken on film. How you get it onto the thrads is up to you.

All the best. Paul.

Hi Paul! Nice portraits, they are alway welcome. By the way the M4 it´s a dangerous machine, it´s well known that after few thousand shots (not sure how many thousands) the internal trigger/rewinding/focusing mechanism is prone to fail with potential damage to the photographer´s eye (the right one). I would recommend to you to give it away immediately to any photographer (like me  ::) ) brave or mad enough to use it.  Just saying...

Carlos.

Great, another portrait lover, do not let people here distract you with all those boats, mushrooms, and trees pics, real photography it´s about about people  :o

Good trick with the glasses  8)

Carlos - just for a moment you had me there!  :-[

You're right about the people that's what photography is all about, don't listen to the others 'they know nothing!' (Italian accent required)  ;)

By the way if you are worried about using the M4 I could look after it for you!

Hi LD!

I was just trying to be ironic/fun, which sometimes I am not succesful at and then it sounds as if I am a complete camera-moron....

From now on I will censor myself   (mmhh, I know it will not work)

I must admit that we're a bit lacking discipline :)

Just like kids before a big snowstorm... only thing is we don't wait for a snowstorm  ;D
