: One book for little Alma
: calbisu December 14, 2012, 10:06:39 AM
It seems that after finalising FW´s book I had some energy left so I decided to put together a new book as a Christmas gift to Beautiful Elena ( My partner).

It´s one of these things that you are always intending to do but you do not, yes, the book thing. It covers last 2 years and 1/2; luckily my photo archive is quite well organised by years and cameras so it was reasonably easy to gather all the material. It was all shot analogue, Pentax 67, Rolleiflex 2.8, Kowa 6, Canon A1, Minox 35gt, Polaroid 195 and Fujifilm instax mini. I tried to have a balance between ¨arty¨and family shots.

I think in the digital era the photo book it´s one of the best ways to keep track and view your favourite shots.

If anybody wants to give it a look here it is the link: http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/3901823?pid=New (http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/3901823?pid=New)

Carlos.

A really great series Carlos, I really like some of the black & white shots. A lovely thing to have now but also to be able to look back on in the future.

Beautiful!  I remember many of those photos...but I love the one with the red sneakers.  Oh wait, maybe it's the one on the back cover I like best.  Or the one that was the frontispiece for the FW site...or...

Thank you all again for the nice words  :P  I think it´s fantastic that nowadays you can make your own books with professional quality and being delivered to your home in 1 week time. This is the first book I have made out of the FWs one, and I think it will be a good excuse to review many of the images from time to time.

Speaking about books here is an amazing example of creativity when it comes to making books, by Alan Harvey, Magnum,  (based on a true story) - book demo on Vimeo (http://vimeo.com/42015234)

Urban, never too late for the book, but the longer you wait...  ;D
