Hi All,
While I don't have all the details yet, I wanted to let you all know about an event I'm putting together at the B&H Event Space that I'm pretty excited about:
Shannon Richardson will be speaking about self-publishing here on September 23. And his talk will be followed by a book signing for his gorgeous Route 66 book. (Pretty cool, huh?)
As soon as I have all the details, I'll post them here first. I hope to see some of you there!
Cheers,
Deborah

Shannon is a really nice guy too.
I haven't met him in person, but he gave me loads of ideas of where to shoot last time I went to Amarillo, which is where he lives.
Very nice guy!
Love his Route 66 stuff too!

Huge fan of his work.
I am sure he is a fan of yours ;D

I hope you can make it too Gary (in fact I hope lots of you can)!
I've been a fan of Shannon's as well. As much as I can, I'm trying to use this position here at the Event Space to help promote photographers who are doing terrific work but not getting the attention I think they deserve, by doing talks (and book signings when they have them). If any of you ever have any suggestions for topics or photographers, please let me know!

Thanks for the heads up Deborah. I haven't heard of this chap previously but his work looks superb. An instant addition to the "favourites" list.
Pity I'm this side of the pond and won't be able to get to the talk. However, driving Route 66 is on my / my wife's "to do" list and I'll investigate if any of his books make it to the UK. No reason why not as I suspect he'll have broad appeal.
Hope it's a fabulous event and thanks again for the link....

I'd not heard of him until I came across this thread. His work is superb. Shame the event isn't in London.

I would love to see that! Been a fan for years. He signed a copy of his Route 66 for me - it's a stunner and very inspiring. Go, 'Electrolite'!!
