Hi FWers
I've redesigned my website and included some new work, and more importantly, .pdf files of all the articles I wrote for Black and White Photography between 2004 and 2006.
If you have a few spare minutes, please take a look and give me some feedback. I am by no means a web designer, and this was all done in wyswyg software. Let me know if there are any errors or omissions. Also, let me know your os and browser. I've tested in Firefox, Chrome and Safari in osx lion and all seems to work well.
thanks for looking: www.leontaylor-photo.co.uk (http://www.leontaylor-photo.co.uk)

Leon, it looks great. Easy to navigate and view. I like it very much.
I'm viewing using Windows XP and Firefox 6.0.2

Excellent Leon, a good lesson in 'simple is best'
Works fine on OSX 10.4.11 & Safari and OSX 10.5.8 & Chrome

IE7 Leon and it all looks great, the only blip I ge tis on the homepage the 'click to enter' line runs over the copyright/contact line.
Amazing photos and a great idea to post up your articles.

thanks all - Karl ... buggerations! wonder how I sort that out?

Everything worked fine and looked fantastic. Like the neat minimalistic look; windows 7n home premium and google chrome.

looking good leon! I like the uncluttered layout a lot. you make it work :)
being able to read all those articles is also a BIG bonus. I've only heard about those printer's art and I love the idea. -kind of like how we had a photo on the forum some time ago where everyone was encuraged to give their take on the thing.
there's two small things I'd change though, if it were my page.
firstly, I'd make the Leon Taylor - Photography" logo down and use a gif version instead. that jpg fuzz just ain't nice to look at :/
and secondly I'd probably title the podcast link "Filmwasters podcast" or in some way make it more clear what it was. :)
well, that's my two cents as they say. I was viewing the page on ie 8 and windows xp.

Looks very nice..and very professional...using windows XP...

Missed that and I agree. Now viewed at home, big screen and windows 7. Looks great, Leon.

Lovely site. Simple and clean, which is the way I like it. I've checked it out on my iPad (with Safari) and it all seems to work well.
The links to the printers art articles will be invaluable to me, so many thanks for those. I've just started making prints in my 'darkroom' and these articles promise to give me a lot of guidance as to how to interpret a negative. Excellent!

i agree with the others. when i first opened it, i liked the simple layout and monotone colors. organized well and filled with great shots.

Looks fine on the iPad 2. The wild penis...errr, mushroom on the front page is particularly interesting.

thanks Sean - and strangely, you are the only person to have said that about the mushroom. It's made me reconsider my aversion to psychoanalysis ... just wondering what it is about your mind that sees such vivid phallic representations in what everyone else sees as a straightforward fruiting fungus?
;)

So is it just me or does "fruiting fungus" sound plain dirty?
;) ;D

Looks great at this end, and was a good excuse to go over some Leon classics. Still impressive work. Nice stuff indeed. Skj.

You know, we are a wild bunch... From Leon's fruiting fungus, to Phil's conkers fumbling, to my numerous awkward sentences to Sean clearly showing he spends too much time at work... ;) ;D

Looks great. Beautiful striking home page.
I only wish the pics opened up larger.
Mac OSX 10.5.8 Firefox 3.6.18 (because 4 is messed up!)

I like it, Leon.
The thing with websites, is they can look good or even great but a lot of them are just boring. Yours has content (more than just a gallery), which makes it interesting.
It's aesthetically pleasing, easy to navigate and you have interesting content, especially with the PDF articles.
I would like to see the images a little larger, but having said that, I've just replaced my monitor and switched up to 1400x1050 after looking at 1024x768 for years, so everything is smaller. But yeah, bigger please! :)
Also, the 'Contact' link threw me with my email client popping up. I've gotten used to using gmail in a browser and Thunderbird has become an archive for my older emails.
I'm looking at it through Firefox 6 on Linux. The site scales nicely when I resize my browser (so many websites won't do that) and I don't see any problems with layout or anything.

It looks great. I love it.

thanks for all the feedback Fwer's :) I knew I could rely on you, and each time I do this, I get a load of new information to digest - like not to use jpegs for the site graphics. It's great. THanks for taking the time to look - it really is very well appreciated.
