Oook, it seems that this week I am the early morning bird!
Eager to see other's shots. Meanwhile two portraits (as usual) from summer time; this was my last roll to develop from Spain. Rolleiflex 2.8E and Kodak Tmax 400, developed with Kodak D76, 7.14s developing time at 29 degrees Celsius, one slow inversion every minute, yes, home is hot.

Hasselblad 501 Fuji 160C in Texas.

Miles- I'm not sure I've EVER seen a car that shiny! Holy smokes that's a lot of shine!
Phil- saw this one on your blog and it made me homesick for Texas.
Carlos- your shots are always so personal and appealing.
SnP- That first one is really nice, that little Olympus is a keeper!

Soap...
2nd shot is su·per·la·tive (s-pûr l-t v) adj. 1. Of the highest order, quality or degree. ???
-
I'm really impressed with Jeff's pics this weekend. Amazing shots and overall feel - loving the colours.
-
Chops Junior was meant to be helping Grandpa collect grass clippings!
(first role of Adox CHS 100 in the Mju)
Oh, and another fridge test shot (this time with the new(!) GR1) - I know how much everyone liked the last one ;D
-
Liking No.1 Soap.
Miller - Is that near Spitalfields ?
-
Calibsu, Love both portraits, very informal.
SprayNPray, 1st on reminds me of a shopping arcade in Birmingham, The Great Weston Arcade. Used to have a decent camera shop but sadly no more.
Astrobeck. Great Image, Love the duck!
Jeff, Love this set, the 2nd & last particularly. So engrossed with their play.
Twe from me. 1st from a trip to Evesham and the 2nd my niece. Love taking pictures of her she has some wonderful expressions.
-
Such a great mixture already. Personal favourites are calibsu's portraits, Miles' cars, and Jeff's beach shots (especially the last). Also Diane's old house photo - lovely colours and atmosphere. Still scanning negatives from a recent walking trip to the Peak District. All TMax400 with Bessa R2 and 15mm lens.

Thanks very much Leon, I appreciate it. I have several rolls of images from the YashicaMat (not the best chasing-kids-beach-camera I'm afraid ;) ) but I must find a way to scan the negs. My photo pro charges too much for scans so I have some homework to do. Hopefully by next weekend I'll have something.
Cheers,
Jeff

Gee, there's an impressive level of variety in these posts. And I do like a good bucket shot ... ;D
This time out, from last weekend. A little Fujica Drive half-frame from 1964 came out on a long walk around Cardiff with some photo buddies. Strange machine, really - maybe no more than 1/2 a decibel for the shutter itself, and maybe 30dBs each time it winds on. Superia 200. I'd restored this baby after it was retrieved from a garden shed where it had (apparently) spent most of the past ten years.

Took many months of occasional Ronsonol drip feeds, but it eventually got cracking again.
Probably qualifies as a glove box camera. :D

love the toyshop shot Becky.

What an assortment of excellence again this week.
My attention was taken by a house proud habitat and some rusty railway wheels on a river bank.
-
As expected, some fabulous shots again this week(end). My particular favourites so far are Grey Fish's Moorland and Stones. These were taken not that far from my home town of Stockport in a part of the world I used to frequent often. The photos are beautiful.
My efforts this week are part of a little mini project and are taken in and around the "village" of Jaywick, just to the west of Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. I don't feel it would be right to comment much about the place as, although it wouldn't occur to me to want to live there, the people we met and spoke to were genuinely welcoming.
The shots were taken on a Nikon F2S / Nikkor 20mm f3.5 Ai UD using Ilford HP5+
-
Testing Sean's 40mm Nikkor on my Buroni...

Miller - Is that near Spitalfields ?
Full marks, always wanted to shoot that particular BMW Airhead and found her this time posing for me... Another Deutsche classic...
-
Miller - ;D ;D ;D Used to stay at a friends near there "Donavan Bros. Paper Bags", and "The Gun" pub in the early 90's. It was a great area at the weekends.
LD - Nice, so many places like that now, reminds me of the book "Shutting up Shop".
-
A few more Hackney'd Havana's (Mam C3 55mm FP4+ in RO9)
-
A few weeks ago I took a spin out with my brother where we live, it was a lovely day
so i decided to use some colour!
the first was taken about 300 yards from my brothers house. I changed the lens to
a 55mm with a yellow filter attached and kept shooting for the full roll - totally forgot
I was using Colour, im so used to using B+W. dev'd this during the week.
I kinda like them tho' ?

Jeff, really lovely! you must be so pleased with them.
Adding to the cars, my dad came round with his new one, definitely warranted a picture :)
and harri with our tomatoes.
-
Miles - I really like the perspective on the middle shot. The car looks mean - as if it's about to pounce on me and steal my lunch money.
Vicky - A brand new Jag? Definitely an occasion worth photographing - great colour. Same for the toms. great stuff.
-
This week, so far, mi favourite is Soap´s second one with the Shoe... mmhh. It has a surrealistic air, like a painting, the shoes pointing dow make it for me!
Also Miles second car shot from Havana, love the classy mood and neat composition.
Sandeha, that is from BArcelona´s Macba!
Greay Fish; great stone shots!!
Becky, thanks for your kind words! That really looks like a place to spend some time!!
-
We were visiting some friends and this horseman showed up. Rollei and Kodak Tmax 400
-
Calbisu: That horseman shot blew me away. THAT is the kind of pictures I want to take.
aoluain: The 2nd one should be hanging on a gallery wall. Its awesome! :o
I'm throwing +one up since this is a picture thread after all.

I have been catching up with scanning this weekend - some images captured in Namibia a few years ago!
Dead tree shot with Hasselblad SWC, and mountains with a 500CM and 500mm lens.
Film was Kodak 100 T-Max developed in HC110.
Regards,
Lawrie.
-
Lawrie, the second one is just beautiful it reminds me a lot to Ansel Adams 8)
-
Lawrie - That Tree is Great.
Calibisu - The Horseman Cometh
Alouain - The second one, that's flippin excellent
Leon - Thanks. Those nasty boys are nothing now you know, furious bedwetters the lot of them. Here's a dog (mine) to help us all relax. Lomo 135BC Agfa APX100 RO9.
-
Happy- your niece is a doll! Can I borrow her?
Miller- love the car, I would be stalking it too!
Alan- the filter added a wonderful golden colour, it reminds me so much of fall around here.
Vicky- I've missed you, and want to steal those tomatoes...yum!
Great shots all around. Just wish we could all hang out together for an afternoon and waste some major film! :) But that's kinda what we do here. :)
-
This week, I went around and found a few odd store signage combinations... not the type of things you'd expect to see in the same mall... I don't think you need to read French really well to get it :)
It also gave me a chance to use that old roll of Agfa APX 100 I'd been hauling around since 1997...
I also visited an abandoned flea market that is planned for demolition... very icky in there...
-
I like the juxtaposition of 'hotdog' and 'la belle province'. The epic and the mundane side by side.
But this weekend's mix is jaw-droppingly fun to peruse. The bar is being raised...
-
it's been awhile since I've posted to the weekend thread, so here goes:
-
Been a tad out-of-commission of late so my snapping has been restricted.
A view from the bed with print by Calum Angus Mackay [http://www.ffotogallery.org/isolate-%E2%80%93-calum-angus-mackay] and another by Willlie Fulton [ http://www.williefulton.com/ (http://www.williefulton.com/) ] waiting to be framed .
Snap on some colour stuff and Minolta.
-
Great tones, Miles. Great colors, Jeff.
-
Went out this evening to shoot the fields in the west valley (Phoenix metro)...have a couple of self developed rolls of color from the Bronica drying as well.
-
Thanks Hook.
Gregor & Sean ;D ;D
-
thanks leon and astrobeck :)
miles, love the doggo!
-
Gregor
Nice!
-
Thanks everybody.
Gregor that's wonderful!
Jeff
-
thanks becky and miles - glad you like the yellow effect.
-
Hey gang...I have really enjoyed (as opposed to "I'm loving") this week's output; so thanks for lifting my spirits with your awesome work. Fans of the first Kung Fu Panda movie will know that there is no charge for awesomeness. Even better.
What a talented bunch you are. A few more statues and graveyards and I'd be in heaven ;) I'm posting a photo I took today (yes, today) and have thus compressed my standard workflow down from 6 months from shutter release to completed print/scan to about 6 hours. Yay me ;D
Amy took a moment out from going crazy in the fountains outside City Hall at the Thames Festival today to pose for me 'in the formal style'. The sun came out at the right moment and suddenly she was apart from the movement and noise in the background. This one appeals to me on many levels.
Polaroid Land Camera 360 + expired Polacolor 125i film.

Dude! What is Stanley Tucci doing in over there? I thought he lived in New York.
-
Just scanned another one... that's what you can get on the last frame :)
Now, where did I put that cookbook...
-
Aaah! Bread. Perfect.
;)
-
I thought so when I pressed the shutter :)
Sadly, the picture doesn't reproduce that smell very well...
Did you see the signage puns I posted up the thread?
-
Ed, a beautiful shot.
-
Ed!
Wow!
Young Amy, who's growing like a weed by the way, looks as if she's standing in front of a fancy faux background or painted "matte" of the scene behind...like in an all out school play and she's the main character on the stage.
Quite a capture there Ed! :)
-
Did you see the signage puns I posted up the thread?
Indeed I did. Very good. Years ago when I was in Sydney there were several well known shop signs which - when viewed from a certain angle - read something like "Johnson's Funeral Home. Only Fresh Meat Served". Ever since then I've looked to take a photo of something similar, but never found it. Yours come pretty close.
Phil/Becky: Thanks, guys. From you two that really means a lot. Becky, I'm glad you picked up on that because I too like the way she stands out from the background. I have another shot, taken about 30 seconds later where the sun's gone and she is part of the world again...but for that brief spell she was separate. You should have been there when I peeled that baby apart. Oh boy. I may have let out a little excited yelp. Or I may not. What do you think? ;) ;)
-
What a nice shot Ed.It makes me annoyed that i didnt get the kids up to the festival yet again.
Im is the midst of having best part of a summers shooting processed. So a mixed bunch of films, beach ,shingle ,face painting and Jello Biafra.
The colour is agfa 100 with a yashica 35 me (unintentional low iso setting) an and the b&w is apx 100 with my mju 11.
-
Euge, you've gotta give Jello props for getting his stomach out in the 21st century. I heard the gig was blinding. Also, I really like the first snap. In my experience, Agfa 100 (Ultra maybe?) goes really well with Yashica. In my case it's the Electro 35 GTN and boy does that camera like a bit of Ultra 100.
-
Ed - That's indeed beautiful and a moment to cherish. It reminds me to those movies from the 70's that had an air of ingenuity, and, why not, also idealism. Like Mary Poppins or The Sound of Music one, running away and singing.. anyway! Lovely shot ;D
-

That's really a superb image Ed, really great look.
Those Jeff's images on the beach have some beautiful colours

Can I add myself to the Ed picture fanclub please... love it!
-
Top pics everyone. What a quality week you've all had. I'll hopefully get something up soon once I've got on top of the darkroom. It is up and running, but it takes a while to make an 'expressive' print doesn't it!
-
Wonder if Jello named himself knowing one day his belly would live up to the name?
-
Sadly, the only singing Jello we know around here is this one
2 videéoclips poche QC - PIERRE VERVILLE - YVES ET MARTIN (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Es84ksrDERk#)

Ed - you have to do this one the favor of a frame. It's perfectly captured.

Im pretty sure it was agfa vista 100 I used.Does this mean that the agfa ultra goes up to 11!
The Jello gig was blistering. The camera does add 40lbs or something.
When I rule the world all popstars will look like this.....and have their teeth sorted out by Shane MacGowans dentist.

Specially like the one with the chair and the one with the helmet. This IP film is getting better and better >:(

Glad you dropped in Mijonju...

It's actually considered one of the lousiest videos produced around here... but it's always good for a smile :)

Haven't been able to post anything lately
(quite busy preparing for my holidays in Brazil...) but have
been enjoying the thread a lot :)
Calbisu's first shot and Miles' cars are both stunning
Paul... first picture is impressive, quite shocking for UK standards... unusual to me at least.
Miller - The beetlev pola is brilliant!
Gregor - just saw the series at polanoid and I love it !
Euge - fantastic shot from the Dead Kennedy's frontman !
-
Cheers.
Where did you buy the "Stick on Amy" Ed ?
No more cars this time. Went to Brighton with the New Cresta 3 but not scanned that roll yet. These are Leg Pro 100 from the Chinon CE-4 my father in law gave me. It was an Ace Café run and on the way back a bloke in a car drove into me from behind on my Vespa. Been dizzy for a few days but more wrorried about the scooter. All three dipped in RO9. Gulls, a nice Boxer and Jacob (middle sized son) and his girlfriend Georgia.
I cropped the BMW, what can I say ... ;D

I would never have known! Saw that ensemble at the Bath Pavilion on one of their 2 UK dates [in what must have been the 1980s]. And No, I've not been on holiday in Cambodia - yet.

Bought myself another Cresta II :o :o want to build a pinhole camera as I did years ago, I regret giving the camera away :P
Some pics I took back then with the mod Cresta...

Nice, I put Fomapan in my Cresta 3, it's very blue. ;D Love the caravan shot.
The Std. 50mm 1.7 that comes with the Chinon is pretty good.

Shot from Sunday with Bronica S2 and Komura 45mm. The Ektar responds really well to the Unicolor self-development kit. Works well to add a minute to developer and blix.
