Mark Tucker was one of the first guys I saw using this setup.  http://www.marktucker.com/plungercam/  Alot of people have been using similar configurations since then. He kicks some serious arse :)

I thought I had no knowledge of this guy but have just stumbled across his Salton Sea series...awesome! Now I know why I went there a few years ago.....I'll make sure I bookmark him this time.

His work is hard core greatness.

I went to the Salton Sea 2 years ago and just flew over it last week.
Wicked place for photography.

Mark Tucker's PlungerCam work has had a huge influence on my own work. As a matter of fact, my very own Hassyphant (as Susan B likes to call my Hassy + homebrew lens setup) is a variation on the PlungerCam. The only difference is that instead of using an expensive loupe like the Rodenstock, I got a really cheap Japanese knockoff loupe that has even crappier characteristics.
