Given that the "weekend" threads generally start on a Friday and posts often carry over into Monday and Tuesday, isn't it worth making these "weekly" threads - i.e. "week commencing....."?? Alternatively, is there a need for a new Forum for "Photo Posting and Critiques"??
I know we don't want to turn this into another Flickr and I'm not suggesting member galleries or anything of that ilk, I just wondered if this had been considered previously??

I like the anachronistic title.  It also helps to know when to start them.

And we all hate critics... but nice comments are always welcome :)

Week commencing on a Friday is okay though? Personally, I like to see the thread on the main forum.

i don't think it really matters what it's called...it will still be the same thing! it started as a "weekend thread" but people post whatever they want to show off that particular week independent of when it was actually shot. i don't think it's meant to be taken quite so literally or seriously!
and we defnly don't need another forum! that's what immediately turned me off with the tc.com redo was the 40 different forums. this is just a nice collective of folks talking about and displaying what they like!

I agree with sean... too many forums kind of put me off with the toycamera.com as well.
Maybe...whoever starts the thread, itwould be cool to have it on the top of the page as a "sticky topic" for that relevant weekend...
