Just to let you all know you can now watch all 6 episodes of the BBC documentary "The Genius of Photography" on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/GeniusOfPhotography Legally, as far as I know.

What a coincidence, I just saw that yesterday.
I had watched it some time ago, but I think I'll give it a second viewing this week-end. BBC rarely disapoints with those long documentaries.

There's also American Photography: a century of images which can be found on torrent.
I've already got it on tape, but the digital version promises to be better looking.
The series is quite interesting. It's a 3 part series.

Edit: the second part is too incomplete to work
re-edit: here's a working link for second part
part 2: http://flytorrents.org.ru/dl/2c0adcfad2a7353ef1221f78ca91cb0a9efe2c2a
part 3: http://ca.isohunt.com/download/116570377/american+photography.torrent
Or, if you have plenty of bandwidth, it's also part of this huge thing (or just part of it)

Thanks for the links!

No problem.
These are better than my originals. The second part is a bit on the slow side though (old file)

Wow, I seem to be on a roll for finding stuff!
I just found a bunch of e-books on photography here

and here http://www.downtr.net/find/photography.html
I just got the Encyclopedia of 20th century photography and it looks impressive.
