Did any UK Filmwasters manage to catch the BBC Imagine show on Eadweard Muybridge (Edward Muggeridge) the other night? If not, I suggest you see it on iPlayer. It is fascinating. Especially his early landscapes. I find particular interest in how his creativity seemed to stem from his frontal lobe brain injury. And he seemed such a colourful character too. Well worth a view.

Yup. Goes along nicely with the Muybridge show at Tate Modern in London at the moment. I highly recommend that exhibit and I think it's on until mid-January. They have the full sized San Francisco panorama on display at the exhibit which is impressive in its own right. Cyanotype proofs of some of his animals/people in locomotion too :)

I would have loved to have seen that. Went to the BBC Imagine website, but it and the iPlayer link put a banner across the video indicating "Not Available in your Area". Fiddlesticks. :(

Yes, I caught it - very good and like you say Leon, a colourful character to say the least!

Thanks for posting this leon !
I saw the Tate exhibition last month and I just saw the BBC program on the iplayer...it's amazing. Now I just have to visit the Kingston museum.

Saw most of the other evening......though I fell asleep half way through (I've been suffering fro cold / sinusitis lately and was dosed up on some supposed "cure-all"). I'll watch the rest later this week. If the exhibition is still on, I'll go and have a look as I work in London.

Aha ha! Assuming this is still available, I'll DL and watch it on my phone on the way home. Cheers for the tip, Leon. Oh yes, my phone (http://www.nokia.co.uk/find-products/all-phones/nokia-n8) has an iPlayer app...no IOS/Android Flash player limitations for me.
:) ;)
