starting off the weekend thread. Here's a shot I take almost every weekday. She sits just outside the downtown post office in Seattle, where I get off my bus en route to work. I must have close to 200 shots of her. This week, for the 1st time in 2 years I saw her face as a windstorm blew her blanket off her head...

-
And tis my b'day also... Anyway, last of the pola scans from the Island of Salt, Cape Verde seriation of blue tones...

Great pics from everyone so far.
-
Happy birthday, birthday people...
A couple for Halloween then ;D
-
What a strong start to the Halloween weekend!!
Sean – love the dog’s eye view of the paw prints is my fave!
Miller – sweet fancy moses, that first one is absolute bliss!!!!!
Phil – nothing like old-timey gas pumps. Love your style!
Suzi – that hand in the ‘hole’ (…or is that a mirror?) – makes it!
-

Ann, it's a hole in wall filled with plastic mannequin hands.. this place.. http://www.cryptgallery.org.uk/ my friends Ella & Sue recently had an exhibition in there which worked perfectly with the crypt and original Victorian headstones. Great place.
-
Well, Happy B'day Leon and Miller.

Strong start indeed - love the washed out polars, Mooninsean's Chair and Gregor's lady friend - but hey Gregor , does this mean that you don't take your camera out with you when the wind blows? Shame on you!

This pic does it for me due to the texture of the building and the pavement... It looks like an image transfer with muted colours...

As it's a halloween weekend it seems like an excuse to post another mask shot :) B&W on the Canon F1 tweaked in PS.

I got this back from the lab yesterday

Fujichrome 100 made on my Minolta SRT102 back when the sun was still around.
Why do slides look so weak when they are scanned but amazing otherwise? It's a shame. I only have an Epson v300, so I don't expect miracles but...
-
Hey miller, really liking those polaroids.
Here are a few shots that i've recently scaned from my first ever home developed film.
I used caffenol-c. Weird crops are courtesy of cheap lab scan.

I do indeed. But imagine in two years she has never shown her face except through a windstorm that was beyond her control. I didn't shoot her that day. It seemed disrespectful to take a photo of her in alarm & dismay as her 'cover' was taken away by wind....
-
Some excellent images as usual but keep going back to Millers Polaroids, the first one really burns my burgers
-
Miller -- beautiful stuff
-
Miller, beautiful stuff indeed!
and thank you! in regards the image from the Olympus pen..never know if I should just shoot on the "automatic" with this little guy or try to set my f-stop etc..I think the shots really come out much better with the automatic..other things may be way off given the age of the camera..I really like the way these came out..several more from this roll at http://dianemartinpeterson.com (http://dianemartinpeterson.com) if you would like to take a look!A friend gave me this camera as she had it for a long time and was going to toss it away..I am so glad I was made a gift of it!
-
I have nothing to post this weekend but it's been a joy to check this thread... Really cool work everyone !
-
I've only been here a few weeks and I am just amazed by the quality and diversity of the images. Probably the best weekend thread so far - but so many good ones even in the time I've been around:
Gregor's homeless lady is sensitively done and a damning indictment of the so-called developed world in the 21st century.
Sean's dog’s eye view is excellent - a real new perspective
Miller's Polaroids are gorgeous. The boat is my fave.
Phil's petrol pumps are a real look back through time
Suzi's "halloween" shot is just plain disturbing ;)
Anyway, I didn't think I'd have anything to post this week - but I've just got a few rolls of my holiday snaps back from the lab and I'm sort of pleased with most of them. I've only done a few proper scans so far but I quite like what's coming out.
The film used is Fuji Acros 100 (exposed at 100) but I've had a bit of a play in Lightroom to bring out more detail in the sky and I've added a bit of a tone to it. I'm really starting to get into this hybrid workflow.....
-
There are some very artistic entries on this topic but mine's not one on them.

One final one from me for this weekend. I never cease to be amazed at the creativity of the photographers on this website. My only hope is that I can live up to the standards. Seriously, I love the stuff on here:
-
phew! long day but got stuff done, had fun and hey! just got another hour on the clock :D
too messed up to comment on everyones wonderfull shots here so I'll just post mine ;)
went for a walk with a friend with one tlr each in our hands, getting him into practise with using film again. had lots of fun and even managed to develop the roll and scan in this evening! I love when I can do that~

Excellent colour and feel, especially the pic titled 'Healthfood'.... What film....?
Wblati... I'm not really a landscape b/w kind of guy but sooo much 'real' atmosphere in the second shot.
-
Great pics again this w/end. Particularly like LD's Skye pics, Blaxton's dereliction and the symmetry in the last 2 from Jojonas :)

Wow, when sometimes I ask myself why do I shoot film I just give a peek into the weekend thread... Fantastic shots everybody. Andrea's on the beach, subtle and delicate, Vicky's portrait... mmhh, love it.
I have not shot for a while as I only arrived to the Philippines 3 weeks ago and still on the process of settling down; buying the car, renting the apartment, opening bank accounts, etc, etc.. All saints day I ventured with my Canon A1 and shot at the cemeteries around. Hope I will share soon with you the result : )
