All registered Filmwasters are cordially invited to participate in Collaboration Number 21, for Summer 2010.
Basic requirements: (besides being shot on film of course)
Theme: NOISE
As always, the interpretation of the theme is up to you - be as lateral or as literal as you want - but don't forget to include a brief explanation of how you ended up where you ended up. There is no right or wrong in a Filmwasters collaboration, so you're good to go. Steel yourself for action, stay true to your convictions, make sure your camera has a funky strap, acquaint yourself with the wisdom of Bill Jay* and git wastin' film. There is no judging process - all submissions will be included in the final gallery - but if you're not proud of your photo then please don't send it to us. Quality control is in your hands.
New members need not be shy in coming forward. Get stuck in and send us your submissions. The work we receive is always diverse and high-quality, and the more people we have joining in, the better it will be.
Submission Deadline: Sunday, 1st August 2010
(EDIT: Amended the date as per Sean's post immediately below)
JPEG Requirements: One JPEG image. 72dpi. Not larger than 600-750 ppi. in
length or width. No more than 200kb in size.
**ALSO INCLUDE**
1. ONE or TWO BRIEF SENTENCES explaining how you've interpreted the theme with this shot.
2. The camera, process and/or type of film used
3. Your website or blog address that you'd like listed
EMAIL SUBMISSIONS ONLY to filmwasters [at] gmail.com (please write "Noise Collaboration" in the subject bar so we can organize them more easily).

Cheers, Diane. I need to start thinking seriously about mine too. It's a hard one this time round (which usually means we have fewer submissions...oh you slackers!! ;)). Leon's choice, BTW, so he'd better contribute a photo himself this time round...hint, hint.

I have also sent in my first submission. It might not be the most inventive interpretation of the theme. But, whatever... Been lurking around here on the forum for quite a while now, so I guess it's about time that I start posting as well.

A great showing so far. With 36 hours to go we already have 17 excellent submissions...thanks everyone. I'll be adding mine before too long, so we just need two more to make it 20.

I think I've just developed the wrong roll of film. Oops ::) There are no noise pictures on this one as far as I can see. Oh well. Next time I guess.

So when is the next collaboration idea and deadline going up. I've been out of commission for the last 6 weeks (haven't taken a single shot in that time), and I am really, really, really itching to shoot something.

We usually have a few every year. There's always a one month deadline to give people time to produce something.
I don't quite know when the next one will be... saying this fall could be a fair bet.
It's up to Ed, Leon and Damion to decide.
In the meantime, it's Summertime... enjoy the weather and shoot the best part of the year away :)
