I recently created a new site..just for Holga images..I have been very lucky to get some great work passed on to Holgaville! Please take a minute and check it out..If you are so inclined vist the site and then click on the link at the upper right at Holgaville and send some of your work our way...

Hi Diane,
I both shoot and sell Holgas... I started out expecting to get typical Holga images but I have found that sometimes the results are better than they ought to be! If you have a look at the gallery section of my site www.minutefilm.co.uk I am particularly pleased with the pictures of flowers...
I love the timelessness of your pictures, the subject and the equipment seem to set each other off beautifully!

Diane... I have some feedback. I have been to your site a few times and have found it to be sort of thin on content. Have I missed something? This may be that I haven't fully grasped the concept yet but when I went to see the Jim Rohan work, I see the one image. and then I click on the image to get a larger image. I think that if you don't have an external link, then you might feature the work a little more ... even just a few images.
And yes, I found the link in the sidebar but that didn't work because Flickr didn't like being embedded within frames. And that sidebar is going to get filled up faster than you can say six month anniversary...
Now, that said, I want to say great job for putting this together but it it doesn't keep me when it gets me... yet. Great luck with it!

When I first came up with the idea for "holgaville" I wasn't sure how many contributors I would get..when I started getting several and each with several contributions I decided to feature a different work from a different artist every few days..that way stretching out everything..I have "clicked " on each contributors name for both the blogroll links and the contributors link and they all work for me..I guess I am not following what you are saying..I have done my best to try and just give the world wide audience a peek at images done with the Holga....maybe it's not working for everyone...i am sorry to hear this! but thank you so much for taking the time to look!

Hey Diane, I am not trying to present as someone for whom your idea isn't workng. On the contrary, I am fairly drawn to the idea. I am not aware of another specifc Holga site apart from Holga Inspire maybe. I am not sure why Rohan's link doesn't work for me out of the contributor list... I am thinking it would be easy to put a link in the copy under the image also. Because I am, like so many Internet wanderers, an idiot. Mostly I think a link right there, in the copy, would be a good move. An additional thought mght be to include a few more images. I don't need convincing that the holga is an impressive camera, I am a believer already and enjoy seeing mature bodies of work from holga users. One image feels a bit light is what I am saying. Maybe exert a little curatorial opinion? I am happy in general. Just trying to offer some critique. Great luck to you.

thank you so much for your imput...as I said I was originally trying to s-t-r-e-t-c-h... out the work sent to me..so thats why I didn't put eveything in one entry..as far as adding a link within the body of the test..well I had asked for contributors to write a little information and I tried not to "change" anything in that stuff....but I suppose I could adjust so there becomes a link..as I mentioned..I tried all the links before posting each time and had found them all working..not sure why your attempt failed..but for awhile by computer was doing something weird where I couldn't go to a site that I knew was working and had always worked for me prior....strange stuff this internet...

The problem with not opening within frames appears to be a flickr issue.
Bert Bulder link is flickr also and this does the same.
I'm not sure putting the link in with the main post would make any difference with the frame issue for flickr.
I think it is a lovely site and re visit it when you let us know of updates here.
It has even made me look to using wordpress for my personal use.

Wow Diane, amazing images all over!!! :o I bought a Holga few weeks ago I shot few rolls, the experience was quite Holgistic.... At first I thought, oh my, this camera is flimsy... ::) but later on, this camera is queen of simplicity. And after seeing the photos on your website I see that in good hands this is a very capable camera :P Congrats for your great website! :D
