What is the general feeling about Acros developed in Rodinal (or the new replacement)?
Any recommended dilutions, times, etc.?

Wlater I have been using Acros and Rodinal for many years on a wide variety of subjects and have always been very happy with the outcomes.

Do you have a preferred dilution, time and agitation regime?

If the water is middle to cold I use 1:25 if the water is middle to tepid I use 1:50
This helps to give the film adequate time in the solution and helps me when I can't warm the water up or cool it down enough.
I always invert agitate
I always agitate for the first minute
Then for 10 secs - 4 inversions of moderate enthusiasm every minute
At the end of each inversion cycle I give the tank a firm thump style placement on the bench to move any air bubbles off the emulsion.
I then dump the dev and a quick rinse and use stop for a minute constant agitation, this is a return style solution.
I then rinse again and fix with constant agitation for 2 minutes , this is a return style solution
I then wash for 10 minutes and give it a good bit of hypo, hang, a light chamois to get the bulk of the water off then leave to dry.

I have been doing stand development on rodinal and it's been working fine, first minute agitation and then don't touch for an hour, enough to watch 2 FAmily Guy episodes :P

Mauricio, this stand development thing has always intrigued me ever since studying the methods of Atget and others. It is a tad alien to me, coming as I do from a recent history of Jobo and LF in Expert Drums.
What dilution do you use and how much solution do you feel you need for each 120 roll of film? In other words, at the dilution you recommend, how many rolls could I dev in a 1 litre tank? Or should I use a tank with a higher volume?
I have a couple of rolls of Acros shot in the studio of motorcycles and it might be a good subject to try the technique on given all the bright shiny metal.

My tank only allow me to develop maximum two films at time, but I also have another Combiplan tank (which takes sligtly over 1 liter of solution...) to process 4x5 negatives and they both worked very well so far. I don't know the effect on bigger tanks but I'm sure some folks must have tried that as well...
I have been using the 1:100 ratio, whatever amount of solution it's said on the tank enough to cover one or two rolls I do exactly the same: I slowly agitate for a minute and then leave untouched for 1hour.
I found really hard whenever I searched for information because everyone seems to have their own method, this is the one that worked for me so far... looks like my botle of rodinal is going to last forever !
