: And I almost cried!
: Francois April 14, 2010, 10:17:01 PM
Yep, it's true, it made me teary eyed...
While it is a very surprising camera mod, I feel the soul of this Leica has been jinxed forever...

For those who don't know what the heck I'm talking about, lets just say it started with someone who gutted a Leica M2 so they could fit inside the contents of a Sony digicam...

You get the point... anyways... Here's the full link

It is not a real Leica. It is a Zorki made to look like a Leica. It says so on the video. I catch Soviet and Zorki on the video, and on the page. I wish I c0uld read and speak Japanese.  :'(

hmmm, almost tragic in the way it looks like a "custom" X1.

I got this through Mijonju's website... Since his Japanese is better than either mine or Google Translate's, if he says it's an M2, it is to me... sadly.

It still looks too good to contain a Sony digicam no matter whether it be a modded Zorki or the real thing.

I translated the webpage using babelfish it says :
With [hueikuraika] where the body the Soviet Leica copy machine zorki-1 (the sol key) struck the hallmark and changed the German navy (Kriegs marine) specification. Generally known marine Leica.
With e-bay it purchases for 140 dollars. When overseas mail order vicarious execution commission, the postage inside the United States, the Japanese-American deferred charge was added to other things, about sum total 20,000 Yen it was required.

I have been looking at these cameras for years. They can be purchased from the evil bay all the time. Here is one of the many copies available from the bay.

There are about seven of these there now. Some are fancier models; one wrapped in wood.

Yes! I love it! If you're going to carry a digital (and I have to sometimes) it may as well be gag-inducing and tasteless. I want one! I've got a few ex-digital PoS laying about, so perhaps I need a donor real camera to induce violent cookie-tossing with abandon...

We shall see. Skj.
