It doesn't happen to me very often, but a few times in the past I've been asked for permission to use my photos for commercial stuff... websites, leaflets etc. The email asks "how much money do you want..." and that's the tricky bit, I've never known what so say and so just say I'll leave it to them what they pay... like that radiohead album! :D So they've probably paid me enough to buy said CD if I was that way inclined... and I've been happy with that...
But imagine my delight when asked recently for permission to use a couple of photos in advertising and not being put in the awkward position of naming a price, instead being offered payment in the company's products - I should add that the company in question is a well known and excellent brewery on the Suffolk Coast. Today payment arrived. Thank you, beautiful Agfa Isola, for bringing all this lovely beer to my house ;D ;D ;D ;D
