Hooray - I've been in the darkroom.  first time since November.  Here are a couple that only existed as neg scans until now.  I can add them to my Coast & River portfolio (http://www.leontaylor-photo.co.uk/coastandriver.html (http://www.leontaylor-photo.co.uk/coastandriver.html))

Great images Leon! Can't compete with that. However I finally got back my first film from the Diana Mini (which I didn't pay for, just saying). Apparently ISO 400 isn't enough in this weather!

I was just wondering how you like the mini?
I tried mine in both half frame and square format and I find the eye needs to be carefully aligned or else you shoot slightly off.

I like it a lot! Compared to the Diana+, which feels like it will fall apart if you even look at it, it feels like a tank! Rather well built (at least in comparison) and yet a few light leaks here and there. The framing was good enough for me. But I will have to try another film in it (ISO 800 this time) where I'll hopefully get more well-exposed shots.

Nice additions to the portfolio Leon!

Here are a few of mine from a walk in the forest.
I tried to get rid of those ghostie sprocket holes I mentioned in another thread...here are the best few from the day.

 diane, love the middle one.

 cmdrray...blossom!!!!

i took this today...i have to hand in a wiltshire portrait by the end of the month for whatisengland.co.uk, and as usual have left it til the last minute (i've had a couple of months at least).
i want to do a rifleman but i'm finding it super difficult to get through to someone in the army so thought i'd try and get a stranger to shoot in town today as a fall back.
it didn't really work though, partly because he was reluctant (he said yes to be kind) and partly because i think i just messed up but i'm posting because it's rare i approach strangers so however bad it is it's still something.

i had a go a couple of weeks ago of doing some street photography with the holga. it was pre-focus and pray really, but the light was good. the double-exposure was accidental but i quite like it.

Fantastic images!  I really love that sakura capture, cmdrray!  And Leon - oooh, those B&W's!!

-
Vicky and Ann- thanks for the kind words. The Sakura are EARLY this year...a full month earlier than '09.
There is an amazing tree just down the street from my job. The flowers should look spectacular in another few days.

Bloody great photographs everyone. You know, I really look forward to seeing the Filmwaster's weekend threads. I've been taking next to nothing for ages (due to life commitments) so its great to dip in every weekend and get that longing for film again!

I've had a flurry of scanning (new and old) over the past week. Here are the ones which have tickled my fancy. The first 3 are YashicaMat and the last 2 are 35mm with homemade lens:

The last few rolls of my year+ long processing backlog finally done.  Generally disappointed with the results but more than happy the stack of used films has gone!    One roll from a diana clone, one recent roll from a Praktica SLR, and one from an olympus trip I keep in a drawer at work for when I get bored at lunchtimes and have forgotton to bring any other cameras (hence that roll has been in the camera for about 2 years!)

Another marvelous weekend! Like getting a new photography magazine, with little vignettes of life attached each weekend in my mail-box. Excellent. Thanks all. Me, I loaded some of Kodak's marvelous Ektar 100 into my GR1, and traipsed off to the hideously crowded ski slopes of Japan. No art here, but what a nice film for happy snaps...

some more from the weekend. A roll of fuji superior 400 through a pentax espio. The lens protector didn't open properly on the town hall shot, not the pic I was after, but like the effect nevertheless.
