Inspired by skorj's new funky half frame, just thought I'd start a thread about some of the oddball pieces of photographic equipment we own. Funny looking, ugly, or just unique?

I start with this Polaroid coin camera. I did take some shots of coins, then dismantled it. Not sure how much I will use it as focusing is mostly guesswork without the "system".

There's nothing like a compact single use camera to put today's unwieldy and inflexible digital p'n's cams to shame...and let's face it, this is NOTHING like a compact single use camera.

Damn! I can see why you wanted this Sean; it is sooo much smaller than my coin camera! I am jealous.

Not too weird, but the other day, I realized perhaps where my Ricoh point-and-shoot fascination came from. I seemed to have been motivated to buy a Ricoh FF-9sD when they were released:

Unfortunately stolen when the local drug-addict needed some cash in Orstraya, it was used on my first trip to Japan many years ago. At 35mm, it was moderately wide, and had 'panorama' blinds, which I did not use too often, but I did enjoy what I thought at the time was a wide-angle lens...

Rewinding a used film was great, as the full drive mechanism is visible also through the bottom of the case. Skj.

The biggest photo gear oddity I have is not camera related but projector related: It's a Kodak Carousel Stack Loader. I think it's one of the greatest inventions in years. You don't have to put the slides in big bulky trays to view them. Comes with special clips to hold a bunch of slides together. All you have to do is put it on top of the projector and it works flawlessly. For those looking for a projector on the other thread, look out for this thing, it's great!

I love the Russian enlarger in a case.
