I recently entered a photo in to the annual Fife Art Exhibition. I was called last week to say I had won a Shell Award. There was a ceremony on Friday night and prizes (sadly I couldn't attend the ceremony cos I was working so I sent my agents :D).
A month or so ago I was thinking of posting a thread like Andrea's as I had felt my photographic impulses had taken a nose dive but then things turned around. It's odd as well, I haven't put the picture up here as it is digital, but my most successfully received work has been with a digital camera (and I much prefer film) and in colour (and I'm a bit colour blind and prefer BW). :-\
Don't worry I'll use the prize money well, I've got my eye on a s/h pentax 645. Anyone have experience with a pentax 645?

Great Stuff - really well deserved Karl - and a great shot too. I really chuffed for you.
My mate Stoo Batchelor uses a pentax 645 - not sure which model, but it's an electronic all singing and dancing one. the lenses are uber sharp. I'm always really impressed at the sharpness and detail in his prints.
