Floating around hither and thither, I came across this rather unusual piece. Not much I could find out about it even after speaking with Olympus a few hours ago. Can anyone satisfy my curiousity?

10,000 copies for the japanese market and 10,000 copies for outside of japan - 20,000 total.  that's about all I can tell you ;-)

I see them sometimes, though not sure of the price (maybe \20,000 to \30,000 at a guess). Our man ArtsyKen here has another limited edition Oly from the same era, one of these:

A few hours ago an Ecru went on ebay for US$92.
