Title: The weekend wasting film...
Post by: Skorj on August 21, 2006, 12:05:12 PM
Gunkan aparto, Osaka. Two great friends, quick shinkansen down, Fuji FP-1 (expired Type-668 & 665), Bessa (FujiPro400), GR1 (T-Max 3200)... What a great way to waste film. Though, I could have done without dropping an un-used pack of my precious expired Type-668 on the ground and watching the metal pack split open and the photographs spread out like a summer fan at matsuri...

Mark, these are all quite wonderful stuff. My favorites are 1, 4 and 5 (not necessarily in that order). #1 really has that 'old' feel from the late 19th century. #2 just cracks me up and #3 gives the impression of great speed.

As for me, I joined young HolgaBoy and my friend Mitch for the Chicago Air Show practice. Was more interested in people than the planes. Lots of photographers with digital cameras and huge honkin' lenses. And yesterday, we went to the Chicago area's largest Feast of St. Rocco procession on the far northwest side. Havent been to one of these Italian spectacles in years.

As soon as I get the chance to process all the film from these, I'll post some examples here.

Mark, that first one is hot damn gorgeous.
And of course, the others are wonderful as always--but that first really screams out for me.
