There is a very good book about East German photographers called "Caught- The Art of Photography in the German Democratic Republic" by Karl Gernot Kuehn (University of California Press, 1997)

Another great link, Ray. Thanks. I particularly enjoyed the ' Provisorium' series...it had me laughing out loud. Wonderful stuff.
