A very nice print in the Printers Art feature this month.
Honestly though, I don't know why Ailsa doesn't stop beating around the bush and just give you a regular column! "Druid's Corner" has a certain ring to it... All you need then is a nice expense account!
Think of it:
- A different stone circle featured in glorious TechniMono each month (along with details of the best pubs in the vicinity, naturally)
- The virtues of plastic lenses expounded for the uninitiated
- How to mix your own staining developer and process film for 30p a roll
- Meeting Les McLean (a survival guide)
and, the Christmas special...
- What is the best combination of Ilford products that will fit comfortably in one stocking?!
I'd read it!
;D

Frank, I’m not sure Leon needs any encouragement in his quest for domination of the UK film scene. I can see his day job getting the elbow shortly.
You may also have noticed Filmwaster member Andrea Ingram's spread in the same issue. Well done Andrea.

Good Lord! Had seen the spread but the name hadn't clicked! (Dim of me, I know!) ::)
Nice one, Andrea. Some lovely shots there.

Bravo Leon and Andrea.
Leon always inspires with his articles. Can't wait to give this one a read and view Andrea's work.
:)

Ooh, I'm semi-famous! ::)
Thanks awfully.

Finally was able to snag my issue. Leon, you certrainly don't mince words and god love ya for it. We need more critical reviews of products, emphasis on the word critical. Andrea's work is a sight to behold as is Dave Morrow's. And, of course, there's that great interview of Hiroshi by a certain whatshername... ;-) One of these days, I'm going to spring me a subscription, even if it comes a month late!

The current issue (Oct 2006) dropped through my letterbox a few days ago and I was shocked to note that Leon doesn't feature in it at all! :o
Does this make it a collectors item...?
;D

Yes, October's was an aberration! The Druid Returns! (That's a bit like the Rover's Return, only less Mancunian! ;D)
Nice one. Prefer your rendition to the original, actually; I think you brought out the light better.

thanks Frank - very kind of you to say so. I just applied a little of that ole pagan ju-ju (whatever that means).
for anyone who is interested, this issue is a corker. There's a terrific feature on bill schwab www.billschab.com (http://www.billschwab.com) whose picutres I think are just amazing. and lots more besides.
cheers!

Apparently Silverprint are now stocking Ole Pagan Ju-ju in 500ml and 1 litre sizes. Unfortunately I can't afford any.
Whilst the price itself isn't too steep, there's then all the cask-conditioned real-ale you have to add before it starts to work...! ;)
