Hi Skorj

A long time ago, I got a Polaroid 545 film holder with b&w film (can't remember the number.)
Since the film was really old, the pod would not burst properly through the rollers. I decided to use instead a steel roller from an old photocopy machine. By putting all my weight on the roller, I could spread the blob pretty evenly. It also had the effect of crunching the crystallized developper! If I remember (I don't know where I stuck those prints), the crystals produced an ice crystal like effect on some parts of the print.

Wow that is ancient stuff!  Great find and good fun.  I like what you are getting with it.  Beck and I have gotten into some really old Kodak instant in the past.  Mine was from 1984, the PR10 stuff.  Got some really great effects from it.  Really neat film.  Cheers,

Ron

I like shooting Polaroids with my Speed Graphic 4x5...
I have been scanning my big pile of them lately to make sure that
I have a high res record should anything happen to them...
.... I put a gallery of them here:

Well... that was worth the effort. Thanks for posting. The in-the-house stuff works really well as a set. Ideas flowing here as a result. Arigato. Skj.
