Title: Born Into Brothels
Post by: Ron on June 14, 2006, 06:30:56 PM
I know this documentary is old news, but I wanted to share a tad about my recent viewing of the film.  Honestly, I have not been so moved by a film in a long, long time and was thrilled to see positive changes in the lives of these children.  Photography and art in general, I believe, has a broader potential that often goes untapped and here again is proof.  Surely and certainly the changes brought about in the film are the result of more than just photography, yet photography is the common denominator.  Please take time to see this film and learn more:

I too am reminded of my fav photog, Kenro Izu, and Friends Without Borders:

Thanks for posting this. I just spent quite a bit of time looking thru the kids photos. What a great organization.

Thanks for this link Ron. It's an incredible project and one that humbles and puts me in awe of the teachers and pupils.

I saw the documentary, & was so moved... :'( :) :D :'( :'( :)
It is really worth your time. & if you can watch the special feature.  It has the kids , older & they finally get to watch the documentary , which they starred in.
Thanks Ron, for bringing it up!
