It's just out this morning! A new camera from Lomography.
The Lomo MC-A. It looks like a premium point&shoot. Metal body, autofocus, multi-exposure, 3 self timers, exposure compensation, 32mm f/2.8 lens...
At close to 700$, it's definitely in the luxury category for me. But check it out anyways.

Wow, that is indeed pretty full-featured. Full manual mode too! But yeah, too expensive for me to get to replace my other pocket fixed-lens cameras...

I must admit that I was really impressed. If the lens is up to par, this might very well be the next Contax T2.

Perfect for those with more money than brain cells.

Yes good to see another new camera come to market and it does look nice.
I could see a lot of people buying it (£500) but certainly not me at that or even a lower price point.

Considering the prices 20+ year old point and shoots go for these days, probably not a bad deal for a lot of people who just want something new, off the shelf, with some sort of warranty on it. Will it still be working in 20 years? Who knows, but all those other point and shoots probably won't be either.
I'll hold out for Pentax to release a full frame version of the 17.

Last time I looked at the Contax T2 and T3 prices, I just wept on my keyboard. For the reliability of these, the prices are through the roof.
I really can see a lot of people who want one of those titanium masterpieces taking a look at the MC-A and thinking that it's a good deal.
BTW, I wonder if the name MC-A is somehow an homage to Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys?

Good point on the reliability (I've just burned through my second Contax T ... definitely can't afford to get a third one 😢) but Lomo isn't really known for reliability either tbh 😁

Well, lets just say that it's can't really be worst, and it's cheaper to start with, so it's a win win situation.
