Two fantastic galleries. It's great to see so much talent on this site.
I am envious of the ease with which Tread seems to take beautiful shots of his kids - they've got one hell of a family album going on there.
Speaking of family album's, I love Aline's vintage modern gallery too. I've often wished my family history was a little more colourful and this has shown me that it still can be ;)
I particularly like slide 9, the Victorian beach shot, it's so simple and yet speaks of generations of families repeating this very scene - which makes it incredibly poignant too.

a quick note to merely say, "thank you" for inclusion here...and for the kind words. i consider it an honor.

Truly wonderful work from both. Tread, of course, your kids are always a treat to see and you photograph them in a most personal way that inspires. I don't believe I've had the pleasure of seeing Ms. Smithson's work before and I was in awe. Beautiful...impressive.

More wonderful images - both extremely creative in their own right!

All I can say is a breathless "wow!" to both. Inspiring.

someone i don't know dropped me a nice note after viewing the gallery here...with all the commenting on flickr and on blogs nothing beats a semi-anonymous nod from a stranger who happened upon an image and liked it...thanks fw.com.

Incredible stuff from the both of you. Aline, I think i saw your mom as elvis in something to do with the Texas Photographic society? But those handpainted photos are great. I have always wanted to try this ( well I did when I was about 12...but....) but I was always afraid it would look cheesy ans I never got around to it. But those look fabulous. Am inspired, may have to pull out the marshall oils.... ;)
