not really, but i did take a roadtrip on sunday up to jerome, az, a nice little mining/ghost town about 90 miles from phoenix. and i did use one of my last two packs of type 87. great place to waste film, and to celebrate my favorite dead film format. and shed a small tear.
anybody do anything interesting over the weekend?

I like the first one here Sean. Nice. I wish the `Liberty` was a bit more prominent, but like that one too...
As for me, I spent most of the weekend inside, preparing the stuff for my coming show. Phew, what an effort. Not a single photograph taken unfortunately. Damn! Soon, soon.

I spent a large chunk of Sunday organizing my camera collection and when out in the woods Monday and wasted some more film, but haven't finished up any rolls yet for developing. I do love the color shifts the 600 black and white does in the cold.

:o I'm sure you have posted a photo of your collection before but it never ceases to amaze me! You must have about half the world's stock of Dianas in that lot. A high-class problem, but how do you ever choose which camera to use ??!

A homemade pinhole camera with hand drilled pinhole for me....
Nothing fancy, just things that prick, sting and gotcha from West Texas.
I may need to tweak the camera again since it softened the "stickeriness" of the vegetation a bit too much me thinks.

Holy crap! That's quite insane... at least I can show everyone that photo and they will think so much better of my ever expanding arsenal!
But really, how do you decide which ones to use? Do they all get use from time to time?
In any event, I'm quite jealous.

that is a pretty amazing collection. i think i have around 40 cameras, and most of them don't get used very often.
skj: that liberty building. i'm sure i looked like a total geek. i spent probably 4 minutes looking through my big square shooter, walking back and forth trying to get the right angle. i didn't want the sky...and i'm surprised the liberty showed up so well. it was very flat and faded and the exact same shade as the building.

Holy Cow! That's a lot of cameras! You've inspired me. When visiting my favorite rental department the other day, I saw that they have a Mamiza RZ67 kit for sale (for $800) & I really, really wanted it, but I thought - I have too many cameras already. But now I see that I don't have enough! (Didn't Wallis Simpson say, 'you can never be too thin or too rich or have too many cameras'??)
I need more cameras. I'm going to check it out tomorrow to see if it's still available.

That is probably the last time I photograph them all together, too much work unpacking and packing them back up.
For the last year and a half, it has been easy to choose, because it has been running the first roll through the latest purchases. Now I'm starting to go back and shoot some that have popped out as being favorites.

Now that I've shot almost all of them, it will be a matter of thinking about which ones will suit where I'm going to shoot.

Once you get over 200 it starts to seem like you may have enough, though there is an auction ending Friday that I'm watching...
