Title: Weekend 10th -12th January 2025
Post by: Kai-san on January 11, 2025, 12:40:22 PM
Two more shots from New Years day, the first is Stavanger Cathedral that is under restoration after some smart alec threw stones through the stained glass windows. They are also applying limewash to make it look like they believe it did in the 12th century. The second shot is the St. Petri church that is hidden behind some building activity.

Here's another church in need of repair.  Is this the start of a broken church theme?  Our Lady of the Holy Rosary is a historic church in Tacoma, Washington that was built in 1920.  Several years ago a leak in the roof caused a lot of damage.  The church abandoned it because they couldn't afford the repairs.  Last year the Vatican stepped in to pay for the repairs.  A lot of convergence distortion from the 15mm Voigtlander Heliar lens.  Leica IIIf with Kodak Tri-X developed in Rodinal 1:50.

Love the church pictures! Kai, are those 2 very fancy public bathrooms in your first picture?
I have a little still of my late grandma's button jar, Fomapan 200 8x10.

Thanks Manuel! Those two huts are stalls from the Christmas market. The black building next to the church is the bauhaus. It will be removed when the restoration is finished.

Here's another church in need of repair.
It's pretty much the same story here.
