: I started a film photography YouTube Channel!
: grit November 13, 2023, 10:24:29 PM
This is the YouTube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3D_kuLv6iydULl4uV-_bug) I've been getting up and running over the past couple of months. The info might be elementary to folks around here, but I figure it's always fun to see film in action.

So far, the channel includes a few instructional videos:
Loading Double Darks (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuP9F8LUzk8)
Steel-reeling 120 Film (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IH5HVMbnccg)
Basic Developing (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sre70_4ilXQ)
Making a Platinotype (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ov9sMo8ysSA)

A couple videos intended more for entertainment:
Photographing the same scene with a medium format camera and a 35mm camera (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IURnwOmi-Fg)
Fitzgerald Marine Reserve with the Mamiya RZ67 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xKVrAWorak)

And a flipthrough of my photobook (reposted from an old video I made when the book was published):
"Sold Out of Pie" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkF5DRAKBlM)

Have any other folks around here ever created anything for YouTube, and if so, any wisdom to share? (I will admit to now having a deeper respect for people who create YouTube content for a living; with thumbnails, captions, descriptions, and all the rest, there's quite a bit to think about.)

Hi Ryan, that's great. YouTube is something I like the idea of, but I can see it's a lot of work. I've just switched the video from Moss Beach, for a newbie you sound very confident!

Thanks for taking a look! It is work for sure, but I've found myself enjoying the storytelling element of it more than I expected. I'm glad I sound confident!
