I returned from my two months vacation last Sunday, so much of this week has been spent scanning film. Earlier this year I bought a Zeiss Sonnar 1.5/50mm from 1937. It's uncoated and rather soft, so I was wondering if it would be suitable for shooting forest scenes with open aperture. These were shot with aperture 2.0 and I quite like the result. I love the "bokeh" of this lens and my 1939 Contax II is doing it's job very nicely.

Welcome back Kai San. I envy the vacation but don't envy the endless scanning.
Nice start for the weekend!
Mine is a Holga shot of a "Cyclops" prickly pear at a campground i visited recently.
I'm infatuated with cactus out in the wild.
Arista 100 sloshed about in caffenol.

Thanks Becky! Love your cacti, but I'm glad they're not growing in the northern woods. I wouldnt like to stumble over one of those.

I'm always a sucker for succulents and cacti.
This summer I lost one that had been my friend for 30 years...
These days are super busy for me, but I did get a few more cameras 😎

Ah, a few cameras! If this continues you can open your own camera store. :D I hope you will show us the treasures.

I sure will!
It's funny because at the prices I paid for them, it would have been really stupid to let them pass by 😁

I have a pile of film to develop when I get home, whenever that will be. I’m still enjoying the weekend threads, keep up the great work!
