Here's some color from American Samoa. Minolta srT201 with Minolta MD 50mm f/1.4 lens and Agfa Vista 100, expired 12/2007.

Every village has these bells made of old cylinders. I remember them from the first time I was there in 1994. They used to cut the bottom out of the cylinder to make it ring better. These are used to signal family prayer time (Sa) as well as curfews and warnings for things like tsunamis.

Pua taunofo is the Samoan name for this flower (Allamanda cathartica), it goes by many other names depending on where it's found. It originated in South America but has been introduced all over the Pacific Islands, Asia, Florida...
