I just was suggested this super fun quiz.
How well do you know your film cameras?

I got 11 out of 15, so not too bad a performance.

I got them all but I cheated a bit. ::) The Zenit M is not easy to get if you have not read about the cooperation between Leica and Zenit. I wonder if diyphotography believes this is a film camera?

I hope not.
I got a bit stumped by various Zenit SLR and Pentax variants. But the rest was a breeze.
Too bad the forum doesn't have a quiz plugin, it could turn into a fun thing to do as we all have a bunch of weird stuff that could be shown.

I got 10. My excuse is there is too many Nikons and Leicas, neither of which I have any interest in. Now if there were a few Contax or Yashicas in there...

You're right, not a single Contax; not even the old ones. The selection looks like it's adapted to the young converts to analog, most likely the author of this quiz is one of those as well. My first camera was a Nikkormat FtN, and I have acquired a few Nikons over the years. I discovered the Contaxes a bit late, but I'm catching up! :)

I reckon if I'd have taken my time and really considered each option I could probably have got... oh, maybe 10 (ish). ;D

I'm with Peter. I felt a bit bad getting 9, but I really don't know anything about Nikons or Leicas. I did well on the Pentaxes and was amazed to see a couple of Holgas in there too :)
