My wife said that I am not to get any more cameras, so if anyone fancies a camera feel free I wont be bidding.

My wife told me that 30 cameras ago.
-
And mom told me "Don't even look"...
I guess that's pretty close to "don't even think about it" ;D

LMAO!!!
Whoever put that collection together had exquisite taste in cameras.

Irv, Bryan, while having supper I just had a genius idea!
And for some reason, I feel like Jeremy Clarkson when he says that his own genius even amazes him ;D
You both have too many cameras. Your wives don't want you to buy another camera. So if you give me one of your cameras, you'll be able to fill-in that space on the shelf with a brand new acquisition!
Isn't that just a fantastic idea of pure Gee-Nius ;D :P

Francois that is truly out of the box thinking well done for saving the day!
Now if I could only decide which camera to GIVE you. ;D ;D

Lucky for me, I'm the wife! LOL!
My hubby is a bonafide enabler, so I hit the jackpot.
I even inherited his old F2 when he was thinking of selling it.
You could just use the trick women have used for years when asked about a new pair of shoes...."you mean these old things...I've had them for years"
Sorry guys.

One of the vendors I work with is an avid guitar player. What he told me is that he will buy a new guitar whenever he wants but he makes sure that the finish is black so that his wife won't realize it's a new guitar. This methodology should work great for cameras.

When I get home and there's a package on the counter she asks "what's that?" That's when I've got some explaining to do. Doesn't matter what color the camera is in the box.
The funny thing is, she actually bought me one of my most recent cameras. https://filmwasters.com/forum/index.php?topic=6181.msg140035#msg140035 (https://filmwasters.com/forum/index.php?topic=6181.msg140035#msg140035)

The trick is to get the stuff shipped at work. Then you start carrying a small camera bag with a camera in it to go to work.
On the day that the package is scheduled to come to the office, you leave home with an empty camera bag and return with the new camera in the bag.
It's something magicians use all the time. You set a recognizable pattern so that when people are used to it, they don't notice any other change you can do.
