I found this article interesting about the state of the film industry. It was a meeting with representatives from Kodak Alaris, Tetenal 1847, Fujifilm, Jobo, Lomography, Ilford and others. It doesn't go into a great deal of detail but it discuses price increases and the increasing demand. It also talks about some of the challenges they are having with manufacturing and COVID.

So Fuji has mothballed their film production, what a surprise! ;D When the Fuji representative says that the japanese are listening I remember that they were listening to Florian Kaps as well regarding Polaroid type 100 film, but it didn't help.
More interesting is perhaps the developer and fixer in tablet form from Tetenal, has anybody here tested them?

I don't think anybody here has tested it. But it is a really interesting concept, especially for those who don't do a lot of processing.

The developer and fixer in tablet form from Tetenal looked pretty cool, and I remember they mentioned something about doing a colour developer that way too, so hopefully the BW set is paving the way, as a colour dev in tablet form would be really useful! I used to use the Tetenal colour dev kits but would stock up at least half a dozen exposed rolls before mixing it, as after a while it'd just drop off regardless of how many rolls I'd developed.
Colour developer in tablet form would make it much easier to use colour film when you don't shoot lots of it!

I would do the tablets, I could take them when I have to fly to a job site. Beats trying to smuggle liquids onto a flight.

Yeah, and preparing small batches of C-41 would be perfect for me.
