Found this yesterday.
It's a documentary about photographer Martha Cooper. She documented the rising graffiti movement during the 80's, as well as the early hip hop.
Now seeing this is a real trip back in time, during the days where the Bronx was burning, subway cars were covered with paint, NYC was a bit filthy and energy was in the air.
And to my surprise she's still at it, following the 1UP Crew at some of their bombing sessions.

It's available in both French and German...

Arte is a French/German channel, but here in Europe it says that this film is "not available in your country"! I use a VPN so for the time being I'm a Swede. By the way, you can choose between 6 languages, so you will get subtitles in English for example. Those of you living in Europe can watch this documentary about F. C. Gundlach: https://www.arte.tv/en/videos/072429-000-A/f-c-gundlach-master-of-fashion-photography/ (https://www.arte.tv/en/videos/072429-000-A/f-c-gundlach-master-of-fashion-photography/)
Or the photographer without a camera: https://www.arte.tv/en/videos/086962-012-A/the-photographer-without-a-camera/ (https://www.arte.tv/en/videos/086962-012-A/the-photographer-without-a-camera/)
Maybe they will work in Canada too.
There is a lot of cultural stuff on Arte, last night I watched Morrissey live in Berlin and I've recently watched Iggy Pop live in Paris. Big fun!

I found this on Sky Arts only last week. An interesting watch and very much of its time but if you’re a fan of street art it’s great. Some interesting snippets about her struggles to get Nat Geo to buy into her ideas.

Not all of them work here. But I found a video download site that allows me to watch them anyways.

Thanks for pointing this documentary out. I really liked it (I can watch the whole Arte media section in Germany so it was easy enough to access it). In fact I liked it so much that I got the books "Subway Art" and "Hip Hope Files". The latter already arrived and I love it. :)

That's great!
I must admit that after watching this I revisited my childhood's early breakdancing music.
Run DMC, Grandmaster Flash and so on...

I really enjoyed watching that. Thanks.
