Starting to feel like I need something to concentrate on if I'm going to get myself photographing more regularly again, and it occurred that we haven't done a postcard exchange here in quite a while. I've enjoyed past efforts, and they certainly helped me to think about what I was doing a bit more carefully, as well as offering some insight on what others were working on. I'd like to do another one. Obviously, circumstances being what they are, it would have to be open to whatever participants want to print and send: old work, new work, whatever. Just print 'em and send 'em.
I had no part in organizing previous rounds, and I'm not especially interested in doing the bookkeeping, but I will if that's what it takes to make it happen. But first I wanted to put out a feeler and see who else is on-board. I think it would be a useful project right now. Anyone else interested?

I'm on-board.
-
I'll be up for this also
I was contemplating asking around about a print exchange in the summer/autumn time after we have been able to get out a shoot some, but this will do fine.
-
Good idea, count me in as well.

I seem to remember that Leanne and (possibly) Diane, maybe Becky organised previous postcard exchanges. I'm a bit fuzzy on this, but I do know that it wasn't me. Can anyone remember who it was? If we get a name in the frame we could at the very least ask them how they worked it last time.
-
I’ve done it (the organising) in the past and would be happy to again. I love a postcard exchange and it’s a great way of kicking my butt into doing something. I’ve been struggling with motivation these last months.

Count me in.
Forgive the digital shot, but here's what I've done with postcards from exchanges past. This is my office on campus, which I have not actually worked in for almost a year:

I dropped the ball and wasn't able to get postcards printed and sent the last time due to life craziness. But quarantine has left me with ample time and I would love to send postcards out again. Receiving cards from everyone was always great. Like Limr, I had many cards from previous exchanges up at my desk at work but haven't sat there in almost a year.

oooh! Me!
Count me in, it's been a while.
I'm in!

Always a joy to be involved in this... what could be better than having little bits of original artwork popping through the letterbox..?
Great display, leonore. Got a little buzz from recognising one of my previous efforts included... :)
Count me in.

Love the postcard exchange! 🙂
Please count me in as well.

I'm in, too! :)

Sounds like we have enough interest to proceed. Harvey, thanks for the offer to organize - I'll send you an email and we can discuss how best to move forward.
-
Excellent, the year is looking up.
-
Harvey, I sent you a PM yesterday - did you get it?
-
I'm in, please!

Hi, no I didn’t.

Hi, no I didn’t.
Check your spam box. There are some temporary changes that make the messages land there for some reason.
-
Nope, nothing in my FW box or my personal accounts. I got a message from Becky that landed fine and didn’t get sent to spam so I’m lucky there.
-
That's really weird...
It's worth mentioning it here https://filmwasters.com/forum/index.php?topic=10209.0

Hi, no I didn’t.
OK, I sent another. If that doesn't get through we'll have to resort to smoke signals or something.

Okay, that came through fine, thanks. Let’s get this show on the road.

Great stuff. I'm already looking forward to some interesting mail later in the year and can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

Okay, we’re off,
I’ve opened a new thread so that we don’t get lost in this one.
It’ll be great to turn the last twelve months around and get creative again. We may even stop Francois from feeling bored, nothing like a deadline to excite!
