Title: Kahn & Selesnick
Post by: Francois on February 24, 2021, 06:14:46 PM
A while ago I saw a small doc on photographer duo Kahn & Selesnick.
They were working on their Apollo Prophecies project in which they photograph themselves in period costumes imagining a retro space-age.
They were shooting most of it on film and were definitely having a blast!
I don't think I've ever seen people laugh as much while working. Though I would say that getting your head stuck in a fishbowl space helmet while wearing 1920's aviator clothes is something that's got to be memorable.

Here's the link to their website.

Definitely. But best of all is that they actually don't take themselves seriously at all.
They were taking pictures in a bog with some miniature spaceships. They wanted to make it look like the rocket was launching by using smoke. They managed to become totally invisible in a massive cloud created by lighting too many smoke bombs at a time :)
And yes, they laughed it off...
