Title: Act of Kindness!!
Post by: CarlRadford on April 14, 2006, 09:53:02 AM
Okay folks - time to repay the genoursity of others!

Over this w/e I hope to make a 10x8 pinhole image of purton barges. I intend to make 2 plt/pd and 2 cyanotype images from this neg for those that would like one. All I ask is that you pay the p&p which can be sorted out later. I'd also like to say that one plt/pd or cyantoype should be reserved for those on the other side of the pond due to the time differences and to give all a chance.

Just sign up to this thread!

Take care, Carl

PS Away till Tesday so don't worry if I have not responded prior to then!

Yes, me too.  I'd love a pt/pd print.  I've never actually seen one up front, and your subjects are wonderfully intriguing!

OK folks that the two plt/pd prints taken - no takers for the cyanotypes! As soon as the negs are dev'd and I get them printed I'll be in touch for your address and sort out the p&p.

All the best, Carl

Heck, I'd love a cyanotype.
But didn't want to be greedy.

If no one claims one---I'd be overjoyed to get one.

Carl,
I'd love to have one of your cynotypes please. I'm in the UK so that should make things easier.

I'm loving the good kharma here  :)

Thats it then the prints are spoken for. I'm off to the darkroom to dev another couple of sheets of 10x8 from last w/e so that I can decide what to print. I'll try and get the images done next week as we are away again this w/e and the next for that matter.

Susan - the book arrived today and at first glance is stunning!

Have the negs - made today at the Glasgow Science Centre - the plt/pd will probably end out 5x7s made on a Canham Field Camera and the Cyanotypes a 10x8 pinhole as long as the contrast is ok - I will try and make the images on Thursday or Friday evening - if not it'll be Monday. Could I ask you to pm or email me your addresses?

All the best, Carl

Prints have been made! I have used the 5x7 image of the Glasgow Science Centre and they are all plt/pd images - I hope folks that were expecting a cyanotype don't mind?! Prints will be mailed out tomorrow as I am away on a course today and things will be pretty busy!

All the best, Carl

 :)

OYes.  And, time for me to think up something for my act of kindness.  I don't have much to offer though  (not to say that I'm not kind, but well, you know ::) unless I can dig up a cool camera...  I'll have to root around.)

Carl, I hope you got my PM ok.  Let me know what the shipping cost is and how to get it to you!  I can't wait. :)

My print has arrived too - thankyou so much. It was fascinating to have a description of the process too.
Now I have to find somewhere to hang it.

:)  Thank you, Carl!  I received the print today.  Wow, it's wonderful.   :)

Thank you!  :)

It didn't look like it took very long to travel here either.  When I've sent things to UK, it's taken quite longer.  Must be the slow US post!
