I was looking at a camera I have and the foam that surrounds the film window on the back (the one that lets you see the 35mm cassette) had turned into sand.
I'm wondering if any of you has an idea on how to fix this that's better than just putting electrician's tape on the window?

Replace it like other light seals

What I was going to say.
Not usually difficult to get sheets of foam that you can cut to whatever size/shape you want. The foam on the doors are usually open cell foam that has quite a bit of give in it (as opposed to the closed cell foam that tends to be harder and has less give in it) so that it doesn't hinder the closing of the door.

I'll look in my stuff to see if I wouldn't happen to have some weatherstripping foam...
I do have some thick EVA craft foam but it's pretty stiff. The camera is all plastic except for the screws so I don't want to stress it too much.
