Storms, (and other excuses) have meant no successful shooting at all these past two weeks. Very frustrating. I mean, just twelve months ago, (exactly twelve months) I took these shots around the streets and felt no frustration whatsoever. 30 degrees Celsius and full of good pizza I didn't have too much to complain about. Though that was twelve months ago ... and different streets.

Finally getting round to developing some film.. I ran a test roll of Tri X 400 through an old Kodak Duaflex, didn't need to re-spool it holds a roll of 120 quite securely.. a sail in the Maritime Museum, Greenwich.

Windy, that photo in fantastic!
Another one from Paris from me this week. Still a lot to develop...

Cool picture axia...
By the way...is this the cemetery where Jim Morrison was buried?
It's probably the most beautiful cemetery I've ever been to!

Phil - I love the colors and the focus!
Here are a few car photos I've taken in the past week. All shot on the Rolleiflex 3.5F with ektar and one with FP4.

Yes that is the one, although I never cared to find Jim Morrisons place, to much wonderful stuff to photo everywere anyway. Love that place. This is a photo from my Baby Rolleiflex, but best pics was with my Holga.

Nice start to the weekend and too early to pick a favorite...
Another one from my road-trip along Route 66 with the Holga and some expired Portra.

2 more from the same cementery in Paris. These with my Holga. Caffenol and stand development.

Thanks Mauricio! That's a very kind complement :) Really enjoy your first LCA shot (especially the trumpet!) I'd love to get my hands on an LCA but I've been attempting to narrow down my camera stash and concentrate on only shooting the few I work with best.

Patrick - those cars are terrific - fab colours - really like the night shot too (I have a soft spot for beetles)

Jim Morrison is buried at Pere La Chaise (sp)Cemetery....I think these photos from Britt are from Montmarte unless she went there on her own??? But regardless the images are wonderful!! Always so much to look at when walking through the cemeteries in Paris....Phil, your work is always so exceptional!
And Suzi....that photo is breathtaking!

Patrick, great set. I particularly like the first and last.
-
Took a short day trip up to Jerome this week, just because...
-
Love those Patrick - especially No.1 & No.4 - they are top class for me. I wish there was stuff like that around where I live.
Hookstrapped - really like the white drape on its own.
I've not posted here in ages. Just got back these today from the lab - all from Felixstowe in East Anglia. All on Fuji 400H + Hasselblad 500CM + 80mm Planar.

A cliche I know but I just scanned these two cemetary shots from St John the Baptist church in Amwell.

Andrea- I love your crofter series, I'm following the blog and it's turned into a great series of work.
My head is still back in the summer.

Hasselblad SWC/M Marathon, Texas.

Crikey, its only really sunk in the last few weeks, but what a lot of petrolheads this site seems to have. Cars, cars and more cars. Good photos of some of them too! Love most of the monochrome stuff but especially Andrea's, Suzi's and Axia's, all up to usual high standards. Hoping to get in the darkroom this evening before I pack it all away tomorrow for Christmas so that the family has somewhere to hang their coats when they arrive on Boxing day.

I think the first one is much better by itself. It is a great photo, i love it! The light and the pose of the model is wonderful. But the second one needs the first one to really work in my humble opinion. Together with the first one it is great, but not relly as good by itself.
-
Thanks, Wensleydale. I appreciate the feedback (and agree that the second one doesn't really work).

another shot from the streets of Paris..this is one of my favorite..

Work and weather have conspired to limit photographic opportunities for the last couple of weeks. However, I have maanaged to scan a few 'stray' images from earlier in the year, including this polaroid.
Polaroid Automatic 250/sepia film.

Had a stomach bug this weekend, so barely left the house.
Some fantastic shots (as ever) and I really love those by Axia and CharlesBinns - but my absolute favourite, so far, is Andrea's Stornoway Gone Mad shot.

My head is still back in the summer.

Very cool Diane. I like your last Paris shot quite a lot, but I like all the street scenes you brought back from Europe.
-
Did someone say summer? Here are two "Country Life" shots from Benington Lordship. Love all the photos this week - especially Hookstrap's.
-
Thank you Terry
,I had such a good time taking those pictures!
-
Aaah great, my weekly fix of excellent photos to look at. Well done all and thanks for sharing :)
-
Now that the semester is finished, I hope to raise my level of photography activity beyond that of taking snaps and lurking on FW. Over the weekend I began processing a large backlog of film. Here are a few from a trip to Portugal last June. All were exposed on Tri-X with an Olympus OM-1 and processed in Rodinal.
-
Love the second one :)
-
My search for a subtle way to f*up colors for street shooting. Not so strange and unpredictable as cross-processing.

Patrick those cars look fantastic, you really were able to give them some personality, specially the beetle one, and I agree that the first shot colors work just great!
