WEEKEND Start 09 05 13 >>>>> Why Not!
« on: May 09, 2013, 11:38:26 PM »
I have been wasting film since I was here last . . . just not developing them :-(

Shot a roll of Delta 400 with the H120Pan last weekend and developed it on Tuesday night,

With another drying from the M645Super . . .

Why not indeed.  More black and white from me: Fuji Acros in the Bronica.  A walk in the woods and Sunday morning outside the bakery...souped in Rodinal 1+50

I went downtown to make some photographs with a Horizon Perfekt. This is from the first roll. I was using up some  old Kodak 800. The negatives looked a bit underexposed but the scans look ok.

After a slow start, spring is (finally) springing. Both with my Canonet QL19 on Kodak Gold 400.

Shot a roll of Fuji Provia 100 in my Leica. Didn't even realize i was shooting slide film until I was halfway through with developing it...so shots were mostly overexposed and ended up being expro'd. Also having trouble getting sharp 35mm scans with my Epson V700.

A resurrected 1965 Polaroid Land Camera Automatic 100. I'm still learning how to use it, but here's my first attempts at snapshot, then negative, then emulsion transfer (using Fujifilm 100C peel-apart pack film).

Loving Dave's woodland shots - so atmospheric - and Leon's Llyn Dinas - perfect.

A windswept tree from me too - taken a couple of weekends ago and processed this week.

Took this about 2005, I only remember it was with a Lubitel. No film data, scanned to TIFF by lab, maybe it was a C41 B&W rollfilm. I regret selling the Lubitel, it cost me originally new £28, many years ago, now they sell for silly money, thanks to "Lomo"....

Neither, in fact.  I like playing with glass and love using a TLR.  I had a couple of surplus Isolette shutters and several pairs of glass, which was all I really needed.  I then had to go looking for a body.  Chance brought up the best option since the Mamiya has those tremendous bellows for close up work and is pretty much the only one with a system for changing lenses.  I only had to make the back plate and contrive a trip for the shutter.   :)

Beautiful trees. Leon and Nick. I can't escape taking pictures of boats. You guys are probably sick and tired
of them, but not me and I'm not alone. For instance Croatian painter Mate Solis paints boats his whole life.

What the hell - here's a couple more while we're on the spring theme. Same camera (Canonet QL19) and the same roll of Kodak Gold 400 as the two I put up earlier.

Thanks Chalky

At the time it was a very busy street with lots of pedestrians blocking. A very angry barky dog made a poop right by the bike, there is a very small poop ball in the frame. Kept getting harassed by folks handling out flyers.

Really brilliant folks, each and all. Dave´s trees always pull a string though, really beautiful. Leon´s trees too.

Not been shooting this week. What started out as a shuffle of furniture turned out to a complete house rummage, been at it for two weeks now. But the process did turn up an MTL3, the first camera I bought myself. Unfortunately seized up something awful. And two roll of film, exposed. TMZ and TMX. These are from the roll of TMX, exposed 22 years ago, developed yesterday in R09 1:100 stand developed (6 inversions initially, then turned tank on head at the 30 min mark, and dump at 60min. Need to fill tank to the brim for this to work, and it did too).

The Church where I got baptized, 25 years prior to the picture. The hospital where I was born, also 25 years prior, some heather (inverted, or rather as scanned), and a girl I used to know.

Okay, so I got the film I shot in Amsterdam processed today and some have come out okay. Here's a broad spectrum of the sort of stuff to see over there right now.

Incidentally, there's a new media museum / gallery / exhibition space / cinema called "Eye" across the water from Amsterdam Centraal Station. Wild looking building, great space and currently profiling the work of a guy called Johan van der Keuken (1938-2001). Stills photographer (good, interesting) and latterly a cinematographer (weird stuff - just didn't get it and Euros 10 per person, so not cheap).

Mine were taken with a Nikon F3HP, Nikkor AI 50mm f1.2 using Fuji Superia 400.

Great shots everyone. Paul, those tulips are gorgeous!

Mine is from a roll I shot in June 2012 in Amsterdam, too. Expired Fuji Pro 800Z (expired) in the Coronet Commander. I'm not really excited about the grain and the colors, but I now know what's possible with fresh film!

It has been so long that I had to look up my log-in password.  I've been faithfully lurking but, until the recent end of the school year, I haven't had time to process my film.  Here are two from a trip to São Miguel last month.  Both made with an Olympus OM1 on Tri-X.
