Great little series - the first is outstanding. I might be tempted to burn in the twig on the edge of the frame a little - not sure that it draws you out a little??

I'm not fussed about the twig - it's quite low in value on the print - maybe a monitor thing (mine isn't calibrated at all, so if yours isn't either, I guess we'll never see things as they should look).

Ill check when I get home to a proper calibrated monitor. Just my thoughts as always - you know the print and I am sure its up to par

They're all beautiful Leon and admire your dedication to this series. If I had to choose one it would be the last one, the low angle and the burst of light is rather special.

So when's the book of these coming out? If so I'll be putting it on my list to santa. love the entire series, but I think #1 and #3 are the best yet. The season's nearly over... don't think we can wait til next year for more... you'll have to improvise with a pack of button mushrooms from Tescos

Al - they've only just started coming up here - maybe due to the early oct heatwave ... So provided we don't get a cold snap, should have a few weeks more yet. I reckon I need another season to get enough for a book - nice idea for sure.

I was lucky enough to see the prints of some of these at the weekend and they are beautiful. I fell in love with the 3rd one and it looks like Santa (or the pagan version thereof) is going to sort me out a copy the next time he goes into his darkroom. Huzzah!
