Vivitar UWS & clones
« on: July 12, 2015, 04:56:57 PM »
Hey everyone,

I'm currently searching for Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slims or any clones like the ones made by Superheadz. A few years ago it was really easy to find at least the clones. But right now I have quite hard time to find any here in Europe. Now I wonder if they're still made or if I'm just looking in all the wrong places.

I'm not in Europe but there were always a lot of them available on Amazon.  I saw some today as low as 14.95 USD.

I have a few of the superheadz clones.  The black one I like the most has a rubbery outer coating.  Unfortunately the finder window is coming out I (ab)use it so much.

I never had an original model, but these definitely have a certain unmistakable 'look' to the photos.

Good luck in sourcing one, i'd try amazon, then FLEAbay.

Thanks. Maybe I'll have to have them shipped from the U.S. as there are none on the German Amazon and eBay.

Thanks Jonas, that's quite a steep price! I'm not sure I like them that much. :)

But the other clone you pointed out to me (http://www.jelly-lens.com/#!product/prd15/3486068931/jelly-lens-limited-edition-uws-film-camera) has quite reasonable shipping costs. The camera itself it a bit more expensive than the Superheadz ones shipping from the US but this is more than made up by the low shipping cost. Thanks!
