Just a short word to wish you all a very happy new year!
May 2018 bring you lots of joy and happiness, plenty of good health and enough time and money to keep on filmwasting.
Hoping that our dreams finally get to be within reach,
Cheers!

Let’s hope the New Year is a peaceful one.

Likewise from me. Thanks to you all for making this a great place to while away time in 2017 and I look forward to seeing what 2018 has to offer. All the best to you all.

Happy and blessed New Year to all of you. I'm looking forward to interesting threads and another year of excellent photos. :)

Merry New Year! I think I shot more film in 2017 than any other year in my life and I got a lot of my inspiration from my fellow Filmwasters. I’ll try to keep up the pace in 2018.

Happy New Year!
I had a long slump in 2017, but I'm starting to feel the itch, and I look forward to hanging out around here more often. Wishing everyone a good year of filmwastering! :)

Happy new year, Filmwasters!
2017 was a really odd and frankly very ugly year. It was sad for me personally, and the whole world seems to have gone a bit mad and lost. My photography has been a lifeline, keeping me sane and focused (excuse the pun) on the things that needed to be done, and the things that I could stop worrying about.
So far, it's not looking good for 2018 either. My friend killed herself, and I only found at her funeral service when her mum started reading from her suicide note at the pulpit. This was Tuesday, and I can't get my head around it yet. She was beautiful, clever, funny and only 40 years old. Too soon.
Still, I have photography again, the days are getting longer, and thanks to all of you I now have people to show them to, advice and inspiration. The world is still achingly beautiful, but only if you make the effort to go out and look.
So here's to a better 2018 for us all. Look after yourselves, friends. The days are getting longer, just hang in there.

I'm very sorry to hear that Chris.
These are always heart breaking stories.
Personally, I have a hard time believing that 2018 could be in any way close to being as bad as last year.
Only solution is always to keep on chugging along hoping for better times.
