Title: clematis
Post by: kentish cob on December 12, 2015, 12:22:06 PM
From a recent "garden safari", over two weekends, end of October and beginning of November.
I know it's a clematis, but I've no clue as to the variety.
Seen every day, from the kitchen window, it seemed to have been in flower all year, and continued to bloom well into November, lovely big purple flowers, up to 6 inches across.
Looking a little sad and spindly now it's expended all it's energy, I'm told I should now cut it back to encourage robust growth next year.

Anyway, all taken with Nikon F4 on Kodax EBX (elitechrome extra colour).
These first 4 are the late October shots...

Well done. I am somewhat partial to floral pics myself. With its twining nature, clematis could be an endless source of material, especially when you are getting in close and abstracting the flower. Thanks for sharing!
