By some pixie spirit!
Took the dog out late tonight and did some long exposures in the failing light - got a very wierd 'flare' on this one ;D

That's great! This is how some of the so-called UFO photos get going around.
Lens flare and internal reflections! I've had this happen during long night exposures too.
Yours is exceptionally good!

I am kinda of addicted to japanese horror movies and I can tell you there is good potential for a script down here. I mean, that flare is more than just an anomaly.. that must be something BAAAAAAD :o I would sell/give the camera immediately!!! ::)

it's even got a face. Spooky.

It totally has a face! Thats amazing! I thought you PS'd it in. I really did, until I read everything.
-
Spooky indeed... if it wasn't that I'm a skeptic at heart, I'd swear it was something ghostly ;D

It was following me, finished scanning and found another one (http://www.flickr.com/photos/acf_windy/5404808435/).
I'm assuming the 'eyes' are due to the shape of the filament in the street lights - is that likely?
Yes, Astrobeck, you can understand why early photographers thought they had caught pictures of spirits. and Carl - the lens may be 'haunted' but I'm fond of it ;)

Are you sure that's flare Mr Windy. I'm sure I've seen him coming out the Clachen Bar!
