Weekend - February 10, 11 & 12
« on: February 11, 2023, 02:35:19 AM »
Went to the Sea Monster in Seattle to enjoy some funk.  It was raining a little so I took a light plastic camera camera that fit in my pocket, Cosina CX-2.  Not a great camera for low light with its f/2.8 lens so I figured I’d try my hand at pushing the Tri-X 400 as far as I could with Rodinal 1:50.  I followed what was on the massive development chart to push it to ISO 12,800, 51 minutes with agitation every 5 to 10 minutes.  I don’t think it was pushed that far, most shots were way too dark.  Only a few shots turned out ok and that was because there was some bright light.  This first shot was the best one.

Love the name of that place!
And some funk is a good way to start a weekend.
I'm home nursing a cold, and watching old Japanese Space Alien/Sci fi movies, so monsters fit the bill.
Dubbed of course!
My shot is from earlier this week during a drive into Albuquerque during what some were calling a blizzard!
It was a little snowy and frozen foggy for driving.
5Below cheapo plastic camera with some Arista 400 dunked in caffenol.
I-40 west bound.

You really have to watch some old episodes of Mystery Science Theater 3000 on youtube!
Some of those old episodes are pure comedy gold.
Here's the link for Gamera... there must be well over 100 riffs in this one...

And for more, just search for MST3K.

Just saw this thread - that photo of the organist is just killer. I never could figure out how they do the pedals at the same time - I can barely keep track of two voices, let alone three! Looks like a fun venue.
