Title: Back Yard
Post by: jharr on August 04, 2015, 04:22:22 PM
A couple of shots from my in-law's back yard.

My family thinks I am weird, lugging my Speed Graphic around the back yard and looking at plants and shrubs under the focusing cloth. Let them think what they will. I like photos of "things" around the garden. These are on Ilford Delta 100.

Feel free to contribute your back yard photos.

Hostas before the deer got to them.

I thought this looked like a mountain side, but it is just the side of a shrub. Probably a juniper of some sort.

You asked for it James, I shoot a lot in my back yard, that's where my favorite subjects hang out, my dogs.  I like that second one, it does look like a mountain side.

I'll start with my Hosta, still going strong, no deer.

These have probably appeared in previous threads, but they've all been shot in the backyard.

Hmm, I've got a juniper (two) and a rosemary ... I should give it a try.   :)

I've got a balcony which has a nice view but otherwise not that interesting. This weekend I was at my dad's taking pictures of my 2 year old nephew in the back yard, but I'm not gonna bore you with that either.
He's got a butterfly shrub (literally translated from Dutch) but it's called this "Buddleja davidii" in Latin, anyways there was a colibri butterfly on it so I quickly ran to my EOS 33, loaded it with a roll of fuji CN 800 and started snapping away.

Nice photos Peter, love the colours.
