3d printed large format kick it
« on: August 02, 2018, 06:23:13 PM »
Not sure if this has already been seen, but posting it just in case no one has seen it. I just saw it this morning and the campaign ends soon...
I'm not a backer, but it does make me feel good to see this and know that analog is very alive and quite possibly making headway.

I'm always a bit cautious when it comes to 3D printed stuff. I heard both good and bad about Kickstarters who use the technology to mass produce stuff...

I had good luck with the pinhole printed one a few years ago and became friends with the guy that started it.
You really have to be cautious though. I think the technology of 3 d printing keeps getting better, so I'm not as anxious about it as before...

While not for me, I'm pleased to see that the project is over-subscribed.

I, too, have reservations about 3D printing, but agree that it is improving. Rather like d*g*t*l?
