Juneteenth Weekend - June 18, 19, & 20, 2022
« on: June 18, 2022, 03:55:29 PM »
It’s a Holliday weekend in the U. S. so I get Monday off.  Hopefully I’ll get some time to take more photos and do some darkroom stuff.  This is another dog sitting photo, DawC comes over often.  It usually takes me about a year to get through a roll of film in my View-Master camera.  I started this roll of Ektachrome E100 in mid 2020 and just finished it a few months ago.  I guess COVID slowed me down a bit.  I just got done putting all the pairs into the View-Master reels.  If you start to cross your eyes you can get the two pictures to merge and see the stereo effect.  Don’t try too hard, you’ll give yourself a headache.  It’s much better in a proper viewer.

Yes, a long Emancipation Day weekend.
cool!
That's pretty good. I am able to "freeview" without a viewer and it's well done. Really like that it's in color.

My weekend shot will be late as I'm waiting to go to a Father's Day car show they do locally in the next town in the Walmart parking lot.
Sometimes it's the spectators that really put on the show...but that's fairly common I think.
Cheers!

And since I really suck at free-viewing 3D images, I made DawC into an anaglyph.

If you start to cross your eyes you can get the two pictures to merge and see the stereo effect.

I can free-view it too but you don't 'cross' your eyes because that will give you a reversed 3D effect. You need to make your left eye see the left picture and your right eye see the right picture. So it's sort of uncrossing your eyes.

Either way it gives me a headache.

Trying to make more of an effort to post regularly.
Continuing to work through the scans from last months "catch-up" dev session.

This is from an attempt to get creative around the house.
A couple of my son's guitars caught my eye... wish I'd learned to play when I had the patience.

Agfa APX400 in the OM4 - dev'd in my usual R09 and cropped to improve balance.
Merveille de Bollwiller.
A hardy, vigorous and productive variety with large nuts!

ive I'd learned to play when I had the patience.

Learning to play cheat sheets is pretty easy. Just go to chords.com and select something easy like some songs by the Beatles.
It'll take you just a few minutes to figure out how cheat sheets work and then you'll be good to go.

Hi everyone, I hope you're all still living the dream? Good news, I've finally started shooting film again. I've been at it since Easter and have been enjoying the tactile click of the shutter, the gentle resistance of the winder and the look and feel of the resulting photos. I've enjoyed the falling apart of yet another Pentax ME Super and the time it takes to scan reams of negatives a lot less so  >:( ;D But hey ho.

My daughter - now aged 17 for all of you who might remember seeing photos of her from the age of 0 onwards on this forum - has also embraced film photography thanks to us being given a Canon SureShot Zoom XL, which she's really taken to. Her photos are much better than mine...or at least more interesting, but then she has interesting friends who do interesting things  ;D

I'm still getting my eye in, but I have a fridge full of very expired film to get through and I'm having a lot of fun. Don't judge me.

(Pentax ME Super - it's a long story!! - and generic expired colour film)

my late contribution.
Made with a new to me Nikon F2 that I bought from a fellow filmwaster.
It's really nice, the meter is wonky as I mentioned in another thread, but sunny 16 and go is the rule of the day.
Arista 400 sloshed in caffenol.
The name label is not correct under the photo. These were made with the F2
HI Ed! Long time !

OMG!
Hey! Look who's back!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I was starting to wonder what the heck happened to you?
But then, I guessed that living in Londontown with a bunch of teenagers probably scrapped off all the remaining few pennies in your wallet💸💸

You know Ed, even if you didn't have anything new to show, you could have dropped by for a chat. We always enjoyed your presence here.

To celebrate this, I'm embracing both the film and the technology geek genes and sending you a B&W flower which was colored by AI.😎
